Department List of Countries with a Travel Warning: Travel
Warnings are issued when the State Department recommends that
Americans avoid a certain country. Before traveling to any country
that has a travel warning you should have approval from the International
Vice President's office.

issues Consular Information Sheets for every country of the word
with information on such matters as health conditions, crime,
unusual currency or entry requirements, any areas on instability,
and the location of the nearest U.S. embassy or consulate in the
